FOREIGN LANGUAGES. GENERAL INFORMATION

We offer education of the most popular and in demand foreign languages in the business market:

English
English belongs to the Romano-Germanic language group. More than 1,2 billion people all over the planet speak this language. It is the core language in Great Britain, Ireland, the USA, Canada, the RSA, Australia and New Zealand.

German
This is one of the most logical European languages and for lots of people it's easier to learn German than English. It is used quite frequently in the business sector, as many Russian companies cooperate with German partners. German is spoken in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Luxembourg and Liechtenstein, in total by more than 100 million people.

French
This is the language of poetry, fashion and love. Here are some countries where French is the official or one of the official languages - France, Switzerland, Canada, Belgium, Monaco, Luxembourg and the countries of northern Africa. French is widespread throughout the whole world - more than 140 million people speak it.

Italian
Italian belongs to the Romance language group.  The approximate quantity of Italian speakers is 70 million people. Apart from in Italy itself, the language is also extended to Switzerland.

Spanish
This is one of the most widespread languages in the world after Chinese and English, as besides Spain itself Spanish is spoken in practically all the countries in South America and partially in Africa, in total by about 400 million people.

RaFL (Russian as a foreign language)
Russian is one of the major global languages; nearly 300 million people speak it all over the world, including the CIS and the Baltic States, the USA, Canada, Poland, Turkey, Germany and Mongolia.

 Also there are some general criteria of knowledge, uniform for the majority of the European languages. The criteria help understand the study subject at each level and evaluate the estimated practical results of education:

Starter

A0

Correct reading and pronunciation of letters and letter combinations. Polite appeal to people, greeting and farewell. Basic skill of storytelling about one's family, work, hobby etc. Ability to form simple written sentences concerning the studied topics.

Elementary

A1

Skill of communication in structured situations and short conversations. Exchange information on familiar topics. Ability to speak in the form of a monologue on a familiar topic, ability to make presentations. Skill of reading the adapted texts taken from fiction. Ability to describe various places, people and subjects. Ability to introduce oneself and others. Ability to greet and farewell in formal and informal atmospheres.

Pre-Intermediate

A2

Skill of facile communication on familiar topics. Ability to communicate in formal and informal atmospheres. Ability to discuss topics related to the areas of one's interests. Ability to discuss books and films, to read and comprehend texts consisting of frequently used words.

Intermediate

B1

Ability to comprehend discussions of several interlocutors, their attitude to the subject and their emotions. Ability to communicate with native speakers in formal atmospheres. Skill of holding presentations emphasizing the main idea and the necessary details. Ability to draw up a CV, make reviews of films and books. Ability to comprehend large-scale discussions and speeches on various topics.

Upper-Intermediate

B2

Ability to comprehend films in standard dialect, to express one's ideas and opinions precisely. Ability to speak in the form of a considered lecture-monologue on various topics, substantiate one's answers and statements, supporting them with various arguments. Ability to define rapidly the contents of articles, reports and news on various professional topics. Ability to comprehend various literary texts and use all the tenses easily.

Advanced

C1

Easy comprehension of any kinds of colloquial speech. Understanding and application of a large quantity of idiomatic expressions and colloquial words. Skill of free communication on any topic. Ability to present an absolutely unfamiliar topic to an audience. Ability to read easily written language of any kinds, to make any connected written texts on a preset topic, to write any reports, articles and essays. Mastery of all the necessary grammatical skills.

Proficiency

C2

Easy comprehending of everything seen and heard. Ability to summarize the information from various sources into connected statements. This stage includes the perfection of written and spoken language of students, as well as intensive replenishment of their vocabulary with complicated forms.
